About The Show

Relationship Coach Kathy Dawson has been helping Cleveland area families and couples solve issues with fresh ideas for nearly 20 years – from her office, in newspaper columns and books, and on television including “Fox 8 News in the Morning” and “Good Company” on Channel 3.  Now she’s taking her advice and encouragement to Cleveland area audiences on a weekly basis. 

 

Beginning Saturday, October 2nd, “Can You Relate? with Kathy Dawson” will air each Saturday morning on WKYC Channel 3.  “It’s a show that looks at all sorts of relationships – couples, parents and kids, blended families, siblings, friends,” explains Dawson.  “And what better way to start your weekend than by understanding how all of those work – and what you can do to make them better!”

 

The show airs at 6am Saturday mornings.  “I know that’s early,” acknowledges Dawson, “but this could be your time – for yourself – before the chaos of the weekend begins. And, of course, you could always record it to watch it when it fits into your schedule!”

 

“Can You Relate?” will feature experts from a variety of areas.  “Everything we do in life affects our relationships,” notes Dawson.  “So, we’ll talk about finances – the battle over the budget, what to do if you’re a saver and your partner’s a spender.  We’ll look at health issues – men’s, women’s, children – they all impact how you relate to others. Couples who’ve handled a challenge in their relationship will share how they faced it and came out stronger. And, of course, we’ll have plenty of light segments as well – including a weekly ‘Rate Your Relationship’ survey and ideas on how you can ‘Get a Life!’”
